Guangxi Cummins Industrial Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as: GCIC) is a joint venture between Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. to manufacture diesel engines for construction machinery. It was incorporated on June 27, 2012 and is located in Guangxi. Liuzhou City, Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Guangxi Cummins is an important part of Cummins' global production system. It fully uses Cummins R&D platform, operation system and quality management system, and combines the characteristics and requirements of construction machinery working conditions to tailor the exclusive power for construction machinery to produce Cummins QSB7 series and L9. 3/QSL9.3 series of construction machinery exclusive medium-horsepower diesel engines meet China's non-road II/III, European Stage IIIA, and American Tier 3 emission standards, and have the ability to upgrade to Stage IV emissions.
• In March 2013, the first L9.3 mechanical engine equipped with a 5-ton loader went on sale;
• In October 2013, the QSB7 electronically controlled engine equipped with 20-30 ton excavators went on sale and was well received by customers;
• In October 2015, the QSL9.3 electronically controlled engine equipped with a 5-ton loader was successfully launched. Relying on Cummins' mature electronic control technology, it successfully led the three-stage emission technology upgrade and intelligent trend of China's construction machinery industry.
